Bryce Turner - Journalist & Content Producer 

I have a variety of experience in journalism and content production across multiple platforms, which provides me with the skills needed to create quality content for sports and news.

My six-plus years at CJRU 1280 AM included a part-time staff role, where I scheduled and produced content for the full two-hour weekday morning show time slot. This included scripting, hosting and editing weekly campus news, community news and sports updates, as well as sports features, some event coverage and a nature segment. I also completed CRTC logs after the shows and shared content on SoundCloud and social media. In addition to individual tasks, the role involved teamwork, including collaborative coverage with fellow staff members and working with contributors, who submitted content for the show.

In addition to radio, I have TV production experience with Fuel MediaLab, which I joined as a statistician in 2019. I research and compile interesting statistics for use in NASCAR Pinty’s Series broadcasts on TSN and assist the producer with other tasks as needed. I also took the initiative to develop a spreadsheet to quickly update the points standings and scenarios between races for the 2021 championship doubleheader.

Meanwhile, I have online video experience with CANrace, a self-created video series that I produced and co-hosted, covering more than seven seasons of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series. CANrace included pre- and post-race driver interviews, post-race talk segments and special features both at and away from the track.

Finally, I have experience writing for multiple outlets, including editorial pieces about the Philadelphia Phillies and NASCAR for FanSided and feature articles for the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame.
